Scenerio Era Transition Help Inflate your Upload Space

Ok so I am using the latest Civ3 editor to edit a scenario. However, when playing the game I cannot get the civ to transition through the ages -- as in, I'm into the Middle Ages tech, and have not gotten the "new era" message, my cities stay in Ancient [no Modern Metropolis graphic ] . I have tried setting the Eras tab in the rules editor to Modern age ... first off, it kept resetting itself back for no seeable reason. Once I finally got it to stick -- it makes no difference.

Strangely, the female half of my populace graphic transition. So I've got Ancient males mated with Medival females. Yes, kind of funny ...but... "odd'. My Science advisor guy transitions. Kept waiting and waiting for the cities to kick in ...but, no.

Anything I may simply be missing setting?
Help me help me?

glych Suffering from ads?

Ok ..no guesses from anyone? Well, I loaded up the scenerio in edit (yet again), just turned off the Custom Rules altogether ...then saved, quit the application. Went back into it, reset a few things in the Custom Rules (although not as inspired as I originally was) and saved again. Played.

My city graphics have not changed. But my people are changing and I am at least getting that New Era message, so I get the free tech.

When I first started this adventure -- no. The first five or six times I tried was all original Civ3. Last night I installed the grey mountains (much better!) and grass irrigation. Good variation. But I haven't messed with the city graphics at all.

It sounds odd. Changes to a bic dont effect a game in progress though. You can change the graphics anytime.
