Once the whole constitution debate is over, the Imperialists and the AAACC3 party are merging (after all, once the constitution issue is settled, what other agendas are there for such a party ).
As many people already know, the Imperialists focus upon expansion, and the increased power and wealth that comes with it. Expansion is not always gained through war, and other things such as science and culture can also be important factors. Above all else however, the goal is to become supreme.
There are numerious reasons to join the Imperialists. The party is a high-profile one, involved in elections, setting up polls, and campaigning for various things to be done. It's not a 'sit-around' party, but one that's active, and seeks to get things done. If you want an active and supportive party and have similar view, I suggest joining the Imperialists.

I kind of like the UNPARTY now that its out there, but if I trully beleive in their ideals, then I guess I can't join them until after the game starts. And once the game starts, then I guess I can't join them since they'll have no agenda left.
I can't start the Opposition Party yet, since there's no party in power to oppose.
Quite a dilemna.
Maybe, the Opposition Party can take root in the UNPARTY once the game starts, and there's a party to oppose.
Other possible names for the Opposition Party are...
Devil's Advocate Party (DAP)
The Say No Action Party (SNAP)
Society To Oppose Politics (STOP)
We could actually develop an agenda and everything.

When I play I never go to war before I get tank. I just expand like crazy in the start and build alot cultural stuff in the border cities, so I can take over some of the other cis cities that way.
I try to be good friends with the other civs and trade alot with them. If somone attack me I usualy is able to hold them back, becourse I have a strong defence. (And soem good alies)
Later in the game I am usualy pretty big using this strategy, and then I go to mobilization and take out some of the smaller civs, and live happily ever after :-)
But I am not sure who else usually use this strategy?
