The group move command in Civ III is extremely useful when moving large amounts of units. However is can be greatly improved. I suggest a 'batch' command, one that would apply the next unit command given to all of the same units on that square that are not fortified. For example:
Batch + move = All of those units will move to chosen square.
Batch + rebase = All of those aircraft will rebase at chosen city.
Batch + upgrade = All of those units will upgrade.
Batch + fortify = All fortify.
And so on.

How about a few more commands:
batch + (square with enemy defenders) --> use all troops of this type to take this square (and wait all remaining units when this has been completed); save the tedium of taking out 5 defenders with 50 tanks.
batch + air units / artillery + (square with enemy defenders) --> bombard with all units of this type until all enemies in this square have 1 hp; ditto.
How about a right-click command on the dropdown menu that states 'summon all newly built units to this square'. This would make a good rally point. Perhaps it should be marked with a flag (a la RTS)
