killer system list i put together in a few mins. comparable systems(preformance/feature wise) from dell would cost over 2000. built it yourself. the main advantages are higher quality parts, and being much, much cheaper. i'd only recommend dell to someone that needs tech support a few times a month. if you don't need tech support that often you are smart enough to built on yourself, and not needing tech support also negates the biggest advantage dell has imo.

I say get a dell. I like dells. Macs are good too, but not a lot od games on macs as of now, but I think they are trying to fix that. Also macs are not as fast as a pc, but they are also trying to catch up. So i would go with a dell, unless you have lots of problems with computers then go with a mac then.

Anyone have an opinion on eMachines? Every time I look at the ads they seem to be the cheapest, but I once heard they're going bankrupt. (They've been around for quite awhile since then, though.) If they are in trouble, is it because of a lot of dissatisfied customers, or just because they sell so cheap they don't make any money?
