Winston, it's not reverse jinxing. If we are expected to win, we'll mess it up. If we aren't, we may well mess it up anyway, but it isn't certain.

Diplomat, Mexico, Denmark, and Senegal are probably the form teams of the tournament. That's why.

Of course the US team can beat Mexico. However, Mexico has played three good matches this WC so far, whereas the US were only impressive in the first half against Portugal. The other two and a half match were way below par.

IMO, you overrate the Germans. This team has potential, but I don't think they will easily beat a team like Mexico.

A hypothetical quarter finals spain-italy is a real tough one to call. What do you guys think? |
Given what i've seen so far, I wouldn't be surprised if South Korea beats Italy in the 2nd round. Anyway, Spain rocks so far. I think they'll pull through to the semis, no matter who the opponent is.

But Ireland are one of those never say die teams, and if Spain play Nadal and Hierro at centre backs, Duff and Keane will be able to outpace them running backwards.
Germany don't have an easy match, either, although Paraguay haven't been impressive yet. Ballack is nowhere near full fitness, Hamann and Ramelow are both suspended (along with Ziege), leaving them with only Jeremies as a holding midfielder.
