Sex Ed:
Yes, sex ed is vital. It's focus shouldn't be on teaching technique for pleasure, however, it should be on preventing pregnancy by teaching about contraception and helping teens protect themselves from STDs.
While pregnancy isn't an issue for gays, STDs certainly are, and therefore any responsible sex ed class will include a discussion of homosexuality and ways in which gay men and women need to protect themselves during sex.
I wouldn't expect such a discussion, however, to occupy any more that 7-10% of the curriculum of a sex ed course.
Not educating teens about sex and its consequences is, IMO, tantamount to being an accomplice in the problems of teen pregnancy and STD transmission. Only a fool would assert that teens don't need to be educated in these matters.

Vesayen, you're an ethiopian Jew? cool dude
Are you Israeli too?
If so where from?
About the mods banning you - why not send him an email and tell him to read and realise you were joking?
On Topic:
Well in Israel it's as follows:
Early classes - you're taught about child making and conception.
Mid classes - you're taught about STDs and how to prevent them, Pregnancy and how to prevent it.
Mid-High classes - you're taught about sexual identity and so on. And about STDs again...
Actually, we already had two lectures (one each year) from a gay who works at a support hotline and helps people with AIDS.
The lectures talked about sexual identity and STDs.
Asides from that we have sexual identity support and activity centers in most community centers.
Our school is half-private and has a community center as part of it. It has a special section for helping young sexually unsure kids.
Our school is part of the liberal reformist movement though, so I'm not sure if the standards are the same everywhere.
Anyway, we are also obliged to do community work several years in highschool and one of the possibilities is working with gay people, or about gay rights and so on.
So I'd say we're pretty open.
Oh yeah, and this year, IIRC for the first time, a gay-parade was held in Jerusalem, two weeks ago.
It goes on in Tel-Aviv every year for a long time now.

No, but most of my familly has emigrated to Israel in the last 20 years(my imediate familly is still in America, except for my sister). My parents might move, but im staying heh, as much as I love God, I couldnt stand to leave America.
Yes......they are SO anal retentive its unbelievable, and even if a mod IS wrong, the head mod NEVER does anything because he dosent want to "rock the boat", so many moderators, and the head moderators became corrupted that all the good ones, and most posters have long since left..... I did send him an emailing, waiting for a response now.

I had a mother who was very approachable and taught me in a sensible honest way as part of everyday life.
A good starting point is the book titled "Where Did I Come From?" We had that readily available to assist with explanations in our household of two girls and eleven boys. I acknowledge that some people are embarrassed discussing this subject with their children but I also believe strongly that it is a parent's responsibility to discuss it with their children, no matter how embarrassing the parent may find it.
Frank and open discussions with my mother gave me a balanced view of sexual relations and I hope to continue to impart knowledge to my children with the same degree of caring, it makes for a close relationship in later life when you can discuss something so personal with a parent.
I sincerely believe that sex should be treated as a normal part of life. The basic facts should be understood before children begin school or other formal activities. This way there are no breeding grounds for myths and misinformation.
Parents, this is YOUR responsibility!!

I have no problem with teaching kids the basics about sex, particularily regarding birth control and protection from AIDS and STDs. I would prefer that these topics be taught within the context of a sort of "Life Education" curricullum covering a variety of human relations and social issues topics. Tolerance towards persons with other preferences should be taught, and the subject of disease prevention should include techniques for them too. However I don't think that gay and lesbian sex techniques need be taught to classes.
In medical school I had a course in human sexuality taught by a gay man who was bent on discovering and outing all the closet gays in the class. He was insulting to non-gays, and resorted to giving misleading surveys in an attempt to inflate the estimate of the number of gays in the class.
One reason gays may get pleasure from anal sex is the stimulation of the prostate gland. That is after all the way that veternarians get semen from bulls.

Dangers of anal sex should be taught along with the dangers of vaginal. oral too.
As far as teaching about homosexuality, a simple, neutral:
"Some people are sexually attracted to members of the same sex. They are called homosexuals." To lead into the whole 'anal sex can transmit STDs as well' talk, is all that's necessary.
Lincoln: I understand you don't want your children to be contaminated, but they have a right to know, and need to, for their own safety and well-being.
Though, since your children have/will have internet access, I really don't think you need to burden yourself with trying to keep them ignorant.
I'm sure my 12 year old little brother knows as much as I do, with the internet and everything. Just an assumption though. I tend to stay away from my parent's house. It's full of crazy people.

The problem with education on sexual matters is caused by people who think they can provide knowledge on this issue the same way it's done with history, German and mathematics. It's often one-dimensional in the sense that it only focuses on the negative consequenses, veneral diseases and teenage pregnancy.

You watch too much porn Che. |
Actually, I find porn rather distasteful. The acting is weak, the men are ugly, and the women look like dolls. That's my personal taste, but I'm am strongly in favor of porn and people's right to enjoy it.
As for assgasms, actually, FG, you can experience organsms in various parts of your body. When I was a kid (and much more sensitive), I would get them in my hands and feet (at the same time as the regular spot). First time I had sex while stoned, I felt it over my entire body! That was fun. If you experiement, you'll find that you can have mind-blowing pleasure in places you never thought of.
