Also, the second poll was awkwardly worded. There was no mention in the post that the hold would be withheld, "Okay, I came up with an idea for those of you who say that if we restrict access to the savegame file, then we can create a 'Reporter' office. He would explain and lay out the current situation in as much detail as possible, without overlapping his job with other's task to report information." As far as I'm concerned, this poll only mandates the creation of a reporter, not the restriction of the savefile. I realize that the poll question mentions restricting of the save, but this is awkwardly worded too. Many may have simply read the post (which does not explain the entire poll) and voted based on that. I believe the poll to be void.

The second was made as an alternative to what occured in the first, not as an attempt to overrule the first. If it was meant to overrule, then it would have had the same options, and should have the same results. The same majority that voted 'yes we should have it' in the first poll can vote for 'yes we should have it' in the second. I believe in fairness in the polling. Just as I had that poll, you could create another poll that asks "should we get rid of the Reporters so we can have the save file back", and if it people said 'yes', then they would have access again. That's how things work. I just offered an alternative to appease some of those who feel that if they didn't have access to the game, it would be a more detached and less entertaining experience. However, if you've seen Sir's newspaper thread, then I can assure you that will not be the case. In fact, it will probably make things more interesting than anything it could have been.
Another thing, what is awkward about "Do you support the creation of a 'Reporter' in exchage for witholding of the .SAV?" That is as clear as one can get, and that's enough information to clearly inform someone of what they're voting for. The poll is always in regard to the question being asked, not the issue being addressed in the post. That's why they give you the option to have a question... that's what it's for. I don't see what you're complaining about, the poll was completely fair.

If the second poll does not overrule the first, then why are you claiming that it does? If the first poll is not overruled then it must be followed and the savefile must be openly distributed. What I am complaining about is the fact that the poll was not cleearly explained in the post. The post must explain the poll in its entirety or else the citizens may not know what exactly they are voting for. I believe the question to be awkward because of the second part, "in exchage for witholding of the SAV." This, to me, is unclear. We only get the reporter if the save is withheld? The reporter gets to distribute the save? The save is held by only the reporter? The reporter gives up the save in exchange for being reporter? The questions are endless. The first poll was straight forward, and was voted in favour of allowing the save to be viewed by all. There was no need for a followup poll. This poll would have only been necessary if we had voted to restrict the save. The reporter is only needed if we cannot see the save.

Hi,
Why dont we just give everyone the start save,.....let them all play the game,..... then go discuss all starting positions and land,.......and kill AI in record time,.......
Becouse then we would just be playing another GOTM.
If you play ahead and can see whats comming, the whole function of ministers dissapears. Strategic planning is not to watch what comes next, reload ad choose the best option, its about making the best plans with the intel we have availeble in the current gameturn.
oh, and have a nice day
