The Danish government has also been busy changing the immigration laws. For example, foreigners would have to be 24 years old before they could marry a Dane and have a steady income, and asylum seekers would have to live 7 years in Denmark and pass a test in Danish before becoming Danish citizens.

The law is supposed to come in effect in July.

Better to be a bit careful with who you let into your country. Having immigrants/asylum seekers proving themselves worthy of citizenship isn't racist, it's more like an insurance.
