Our warriors in Panama have decided to fight to the death there. Some cynic pointed out that they had to because the native attack took out their longship and half of their forces and was promptly fed to the starving locals dogs.

The waves of suicidal natives up North are preventing us from advancing anywhere.

Siege of the Big Sioux
12.24.20

Our ChoKuNus have inflicted many casualties on our foe last season, but the fortress upon the Big Sioux River still stands. More forces have encamped outside, and despite counterattacks, fair well. While our most gracious Emperor Overseas will no doubtably give us the victory next season, it stands to be seen why these natives call themselves with languages foreign to their own tongues. A force must have come this way before with the power to give names. Hopefully our taking of this stockaded town will yeild relavent information.

Reinforcements are on their way across the Great White Mountains, and roads are being layed through the paths. Soon the full brunt of our wrath will eliminate these vile things, and subjugate and integrate them into our most glorious empire.

We have sufferred heavy losses in Panama and it is likely to fall before the Second Expedition can relieve it. These foes are truly worthy of crushing. The ones up north defend their cities by piling up defensive mountains of their own dead.

Though we fought to the last in the naked frenzy of battle, Panama has fallen to the native hordes. Our dearly bought Elephant Escort has disappeared in the jungle and it looks as if Alajuela has been captured by the Romans.

It is enough to turn us, suicidally sober Vikings, into homicidally drunk ravagers. The next land we fall upon will not enjoy it.

We also demand that the Roman War Galley not spend too much time inspecting our coastal defences, for we don't have any. The spirit of our nation lies in attack and not defense.

After all, NeoRome could turn out to be the next land we fall upon.
