About the Med Pack? Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

Can you use the med pack without the 1.21 hack ?
I cannot get the hack to work, it does not recognise my version of ctp.exe. I am using a no-cd crack for version1.2

The hack will only work with the official 1.2 exe; not with the no-cd crack.

You can play without the 1.21 hack but you need to move some files from the scenario folders to the default game folders. I think it was just the files in the graphics folders but I'm not 100% certain of that. Check the Apolyton Pack readme which is included in the Med pack. It will also tell you what you need to do when you want to load a game that you started with the pack.

If I use the Modpicker utility do I need the 1.21 hack installed?

Yes, if you use Modpicker you need the 1.21 hack installed. You could see the Modpicker as an addition to the hack. It will allow you to also have the AI and Gl files in the scenario folders, which means that only the sound files would still have to be in the default folders.
