giving units Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

I played civ2 alot and i'm starting to get into ctp. My question: Isnt it possible to give units from my civ to an other civ ? I loved to do this to help the weak civ against the strong ones, like a cold war.

Unfortunately as useful an idea it was, they didn't include it in CTP and it doesn't look like its going to make CTP2 either sadly.
