if anyone wants theirs just give me your number (you'll find it on the memberlist), and I'd like to make different coloured ones, to try and steer away from everyone having the exact same avatar, so if you want a different coloured one, let me know the colour aswell. (eg, steel, maybe a rusty iron, or just any colour in the rainbow, etc)

Personally, I like individualized avatars better. They make it easier to recognize the poster. Those with basic graphics skills could use the citizen button as part of their avatar, though, sort of the way Timeline did with his cabinet seal (although his is a little too small for my eyes).

I use Mozilla 1.1A and the 1st Citizen avatar has a hole... it flickers for one frame exactly in the start of the light thingy.
