quote: Originally posted by Blake One of the things I like most about CTP2 is that games go so much quicker, there is little in the way of menial micromanagment (especially if you master the national manager, hint: master the national manager) so CTP2 can be really quite enjoyable to play. |
Speak for yourself, Sir! I can still take forever to play CTP2 with excruciating micromanagement, just like Civ2! However, I guess that's part of what makes the game enjoyable to me. [Part of the problem is that I could micromanage Civ2 quickly because I understood the formulas to the last beaker, shield, and wheatsheaf. I'm less sure of what I'm doing in CTP2 so the decisions take longer to make.]

p.s. "quickly" is a relative thing; "quickly" for a glacier, perhaps...

Is Modswapper truly necessary, or just convenient? I've seen some of the mods that list this as a requirement. I thought that it simply made it easier to try out different mod packs, but that I could manually copy the files myself and still be able to use the mods. Is that true, or is there something that Modswapper adds that I have to have?
