He flew in on the Thursday, stayed over, joined up with me, MikeH, Rich, Higgsy, Johan, and Shaker on the Friday and we went out on the piss, then the lot of us traipsed over to Bristol to meet the rest of them on the Saturday, stayed Saturday night at Mike's and then David and I did a whirlwind tour of London on the Sunday.

Well I am going to have to make arrangements for this one, I will probably stop with my mate Dave overnight, but it will involve driving into London on a Friday evening

And Iain, seeing my face on your posts is confusing the hell out of me

Put an end to popups!

Now come on Ech - last time, I had to get all the way from my bed to the wardrobe, then all the way to the front door, then an INTERMINABLE trek down to the traffic lights, and I don't know HOW long waiting for that green man, and FINALLY I made it across the road to the pub, only an hour late. Yep, that Bristol meet was a tough one to make, so I don't see that you've got an excuse.

Anyone care to give me a lowdown on what's been said in this and the last thread ( okay, okay I can read this one but I'm damned if I can get up the gumption to find the other ) because this sounds like an Apolyton meet I might actually be able to attend.

*gasp*

Goddamit man! We've been over this on another thread.

You'll recognise me fairly easily - I'll be dressed from head to toe in black, have desperately overgrown hair and looks like a hideous cross between John Cusack and Mr Bean ( depends on who you ask... )

Now all I need to do is find out when I'm going to Florence and work out some way to get there...

Feh! That's the easy part. The hard part is finding my way there and back ( with hopefully the odd pint inbetween ) on practically nothing in the way of money.

How are you getting down? It's a hell of a long way from Uddingston to Leicester Square.

Uddingston?

Plane or train, whichever would be cheaper I guess. And then brave the underground. Done it before, can do it again.

The question is can I do it 'within budget' hmmm....

And Liverpool Street to Charing Cross thatnks to the tube.....

Station Duration Action
Liverpool Street Wait for CENTRAL LINE train
Liverpool Street 5 mins. Get on train to any of:
WEST RUISLIP or
NORTHOLT or
EALING BROADWAY or
WHITE CITY or
NORTH ACTON or
MARBLE ARCH or
RUISLIP GARDENS
Tottenham Court Road 15 mins. Walk to NORTHERN LINE
Tottenham Court Road 18 mins. Wait for NORTHERN LINE train
Tottenham Court Road 23 mins. Get on train to any of:
MORDEN (VIA CHARING X) or
KENNINGTON or
TOOTING BROADWAY (VIA CHARING X)
Charing Cross 26 mins. Arrival

Zones Used: 1 Adult: 1.60 Child: 0.60

So rather insane and impossible to organise but it takes £18.60 in total.... not bad....

No. The trains are 1.60 each way and the flight is £17 return. So that makes it £20.20. I'm sure I can scrounge thirty or forty together easily enough...

No...

Glasgow Prestwick has negotiated the special fare of only £17 return for the Express Rail Link from London Stansted Airport to London (Liverpool Street Station)

That means it's £17 from Stansted to Liverpool Street and back. Now how much is your flight?
