	Civ3 Demo Game Website Contest Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

If there are any good amateur or professional web designers here who would like to design the Civ3 Demo Game Website, please create a sort of "framework" site that shows how you would make it, with some sample information, etc. We could have several of you work on maintaining the site, though this would be strictly on a volunteer basis. Please submit your site design (by posting a link to it) by next Friday, and I'll post a poll on Saturday. I may extend the deadline if there aren't enough submissions; I don't really know how long it would take to do this sort of thing.

I wish I had the time, this would be a fun project. Several pages connected to the home page, links to the left in .inc file, flag on the top with heading, in .inc, content in lower right, lots of possibilities.

If you need free server to host web site, there is brinkster.com which I use currently for a fantasy football website, its geared to ASP users. There are several others out there for free to use servers, though they are not as reliable as those hosts like angelfire that just allow limited coding options.

Obviously, I babble on with no purpose, but excited about the idea, disappointed I won't be able to work on one.

Trip - I didn't say you would mantain it. If you read my post, it says that, and I quote, "We could have several of you work on maintaining the site, though this would be strictly on a volunteer basis." They would update and such, if they wanted to. Also, this doesn't need to be part of the Constitution, which only regulates the forum, turnchats, and what you can do with the savegame on your computer. What is done outside of that isn't under its jurisdiction. (I'm just heading off a potential conflict here)

1) I don't really know what any of that stuff is - I'm more than computer literate, but not into web design - but anything that makes it better is good.

Sirotnikov I was also planning on making it a PHP site with admin area. Perhaps we could work on it together to make a killer site?

BTW I can make i2media.net/~civ3 or something which would have access to a MySQL database, PHP abilities and it's own FTP so everyone (webbies and ministers) can have access to it.

What do you think?
