Isn't it? It was bizarre. I easily beat him to Monarchy - if you can trust the info he gives you in KC - and was sailing along quite nicely. Next thing ... his Civ just explodes. I haven't seen anything like it before. Unless, of course, he was fibbing in KC and had, in fact, tipped Monarchy out of a hut on the 3rd turn.

What's more, he built Mike's in the same turn I was going to! And his response was typically sympathetic!

AH, you are starting another myth about me wanting to start new games. You know that's untrue. It's always other players that screw up games finishing. Winzity disappears or quits; Makeo, I'm afraifd to say, has become a bit flaky lately; but when I can show for a game I'm more than happy to continue one that's already underway.

I have not become flakey. I told you I couldn't continue the Sunday morning game before we even started it. I can't help it if my leg has healed and i have to go back to work.
