My Brother and I were just arguing about how many women play ctp. I said it would be slim *very* slim but he seems to think differently. Anyhow, it peeked my curiousity and would appreciate any comments????

Hello.
My girlfriend liked to play Age of Empires, up until I showed her CTP. Now I hardly have time to sit down and spend hours in front of my PC.
Yesterday she put up the highest score, 697% on Chieftain level. We still play the original version of CTP (no mods).
AoE is gathering dust...

Only times I've played have been against Katy - and she made the ancient cavalry javelinman plus the ancient heavy cavalryman.

I'd say the ratio of men/woman is better than in say, Quake. But I'd wager the ratio doesn't come up to Civ2. Why? Well it's been my experience that the woman who play Civ style games are more into peacefully managing their empires and less into war. Ctp forces you into war on the higher levels, more so than Civ2. At least thats been my experience.
Big Dave:
I played SMAC for a little while. It seemed pretty stable, I can't remember a crash, that being said I didn't like it. Of course I loved some of the features, but overall I prefer CTP, Id even prefer Civ2, It was mainly the Sci-Fi that turned me off.
