Planetary governorship is the most frequent win-- I don't care much about score as getting a suprehigh score usaually involves delaying transcending while pumping up your population (sheer boredon)-- Usually once the game is a foregone conclusion ( I am more than 3 times bigger than all the AI combined) I see little point in playing things out and just trigger the election

Transendence or Conquest. I usually play Gaian and prefer a non fighting game, but when the opportunity presents itself for a good fight, I take the challange.

Conquest is the way for me.
Though if I'm getting too bored with a game, I'll try one of the diplomatic avenues for victory.
But if I'm not the Spartans or Hive, I'll try and head for Transcendence.

Usually I try for transcendence, but if I get bored I will just go for diplomatic victory after getting all the secret projects I can for the score. The key for transendence is usually getting as many alien artifacts as possible to get all those expensive late techs.

Transcendance. Just because it gives the most points and I'm not too good at playing all the factions.
