Mexico city is the most polluted and dirty place on earth. Baghdad used to have alot of high rises, but most were for military purposes and got leveled in 91.

Havanna? *shrugs* Just go to south Miami. Endless rows of 1940's style buildings with enough power in each to run a toaster

If I had to choose from the list I'd go for New York.

But I have to scream out an omission that's not excusable

Thessaloniki Now that's the city of cities it has everything anybody would ever want and besides is one of the most wanted cities in the Balkans, from Turks to the Slavs everybody wants that city.

I'd definitely rule out Paris for their rudeness and unwelcomness that tourists receive there. I don't like Tokyo at all, well besides the food that I actually liked very much. That city is equally unfriendly since there is nothing to help a gaijin orient himself. For example in Greece we have all our shields in Greek and in Latin to help our visitors there evrything looks like *##*#§%. I like Amsterdam because it's wild and free. Never been to London and I have no interest to visit a city where they serve mint sauce on their meat bah. I like Canada and that goes for the cities Toronto is a cool city. Another city that I like very much but I do not see in the list is Sigapore everything is order and very very clean. Of course Berlin is cool and with the Love Parade we will get to see lots of skin again and lots and lots of people dancing instead of fighting for a change. San Francisco is also a great city and very much unlike all other US cities. Prague is a wonderful city with a wonderful castle pretty girls and very good beer, although I tend to stay away from Becherovka when I am over there.

Paikti I would like to correct you about Berlin it's not a city full of Nazis, it's a Turkish city in Germany!

Toronto made the list and Vancouver didn't? For shame.

I have lived in both and would never choose Toronto. Perhaps the worst city in the country.

As far as cities that made the list Sydney, London and Paris would all be fine by me.

So would Edinburgh, Stockholm and Sydney (a different one, in NS)

well i only voted to the cities i've been to...

New York - live very close to it, really an amazing city, sure it has all the problems of any big city... unfortunately its going downhill pretty fast

Rome - great city, walking down the streets is liking fading in and out of the past... even the surrounding areas are pretty nice, it really doesn't have that much of a big city feel as others...

Venice - who in the world ever thought of building a city on water?!? nonetheless, its one of the most amazing places i've ever been

Let's see...

My favourite cities that I have visited for sheer wow factor in no particular order!

London
Monte Carlo
Firenze
Siena
Roma
Venezia
Boston
Paris
Savannah
New Orleans
Napoli
Bruges
Istanbul
Hong Kong
Sydney
Wellington
New York
Amsterdam

Most disappointing city...

Brussels!!!

Apart from the area around the main square, the city seemed like a dirty, ugly sh*thole!

Places I most want to visit: Prague and Cairo

I agree, Brussels disappointed me. My brother lives there and it was the first bit of Europe I saw. Singapore sucks for its blandness in all things but food.

From my limited experience, New York is my definition of city. I'd love to know why " Caesar the Great" thinks its going downhill.

Sydney is amazing for its beaches, but only an Australian would think it a major city. Tokyo is fascinating to visit and you can't imagine how big it is until you have done some serious exploring.

HK is funny. I spent one day there and it seemed unimaginably awful to live in, but those who have lived there get a fond gleam in their eye whenever it is mentioned.

I voted for Moscow and Venice in this thread.

Cities I would have voted if they were in:
Bruxelles
Dublin (I'm surprised no one mentioned this one!)
Prague
Amsterdam
St. Louis (#1 American city for me)
and the 5 pearls of the Baltic sea:
St. Petersburg
Helsinki
Stockholm
Tallinn
Riga

I would've preferred Bombay (Mumbai) to Delhi.
