Athens:
Never seen it, it's supposed to be full of smog though. All the ancient things destroyed by smog, too hairy for me
Baghdad:
Not great anymor since a) it went down after the middle ages and b) was destroyed by the US
Beijing:
I have no idea what this city is like, Chinese cities tend to be too ultra-modern though
Berlin:
I'm not able to make a rational evaluaiton of this city. Voted.
Cairo:
Said to be full of sh!t, full of people, etc...
Chicago:
I know bugger all about American cities. They're all the same though.
Delhi:
Too big.
Havana:
If it wasn't for crumbling buildings, it would be beautiful. I think it was great 30-40 years ago.
Hong Kong:
A mix of Chinese and American cities. Too "let's do this because it's cool".
Jerusalem:
Oh yeah, sacred place of 3 religions, what a gem. Voted.
London:
Said to be great, neverb een there though. Voted, not with passion though
Los Angeles:
American city
Madrid:
Spanish city
Mexico City:
Mexico City
Montreal
Canada has soem cool places I think, no idea what this one's like though.
Moscow:
Supposed to be a cool place. Voted.
New York:
I heard there's some big hole there. It's great by definition though, sort of defines western culture
Voted.
Paris:
Defines European culture Voted.
Rome:
This one's said to be semi-great. I'll be there next January, can't say I'd vote for it though.
Sydney:
Opera houses don't make cities.
Tokyo:
Too big, too Japanese, too multi coloured. Nahhh...
Toronto:
Another Canadian place. Any good?
Venice:
Overrated. The Macus square is full of pidgeon sh!t.
Washington, D.C.
Said to be a cool place. Voted.
Say, where the hell is Vancouver?

Would have gone for Vancouver too, if it was in there. |
I guess you haven't been to Toronto recently.
But since you're in England, just stay under the wind a little while longer. The stench will get there.

Paris
my all time favorite. it has a flair that appeals to me like no ther. The most beautiful capital of the world propably.
tones of things to see and do. THE city to be lazy in. drinking coffe at the Bistros next to the Seine and just enjoying the atmospaire. french like you as long as you can speak french. very romantic city too.
Rome
the similarities with athens are breathtaking. still it is more humane. crazy drivers like athens. crazy people like greeks. it is true that greeks and italians are una faca una raca. all in all great city and i wasl always mistaken for italian and tourists were asking ME for directions
Sydney

Tokyo

Toronto

Venice
one of the most beautiful cities in the world at its road to ruin. tourism must simply STOPPED at that city it is destroying it. dont visit in august the humidity and heat will suffocate you.
the canals, the gonndolas, the churhes the museums the caffes are great. it has a byzantium feeling too about it(not strange considering history) agreat, beautiful city that must have less tourists VERY FAST.

I will add that Paris is actually my favorite city in the world, so far. The great cities I haven't been to yet but are on my list are Berlin, Rome, San Francisco, Boston, Prague, Vienna and Toronto.
I didn't care for London all that much, but maybe that's because it was rainy and dreary all the time.
Los Angeles is the pits, IMO. And Washington DC, while home to some neat museums and government buildings, doesn't have much else going for it. Although the gay nightlife in DuPont Circle is fun.
Why on EARTH is Prague not on the list? Everyone I know who has been there finds it magnificent.
EDIT: I only voted for New York, though, as "Greatest" is exclusive of all others. New York is the Rome of our times, and certainly the city that is currently King Sh*t of F*ck Mountain in terms of world stature.
