My ? is this: I'm used to stacking units for attacking and movement .... is this option no longer available in III?

I tried pressing J to no avail. Do I need to select the units or highlight them in some special way? I have them all together on one tile next to a city, but they only seem to want to attack one by one. Most perplexing.

oh, and all these units must be 'active' |
No, just tried that. Doesn't move different types of units. 'J' will move all of the same type of unit just like G moves one unit. But I haven't found anything for mixed unit type stacks. Did CivII have that capability?
