	anothing bug Put an end to popups!

not sure if people have talked about this

Ex rival citys:
When you are once again at war with that civ, the new citizens in them citys that are now classed as your citizens also get annoyed (civil disorder) and when you click on them it says "Stop the agression against our mothercountry!"
Even when these citizens are from your civ! And theirs a load of Chinese dudes sitting their who are nice and happy saying stuff like! "I don't care about this war, Republic government sure has its advantages over Comunism! Look, i can buy more beer than usual, and my new buisiness no longer has to have a Hammer and sickle on its company logo!".
this is wrong!

A nothing bug? Ironic.

I haven't experienced that bug myself. But as a veteran player of civ2, I am great at rationalization.

The protesters are hippies. Though they are culturally linked to you, they feel guilty about the slow death of chinese culture. They are too young to remember communism, and pine for their heritage, although their forbears don't mind. The older citizens understand the oppression the chinese government caused, and are more than happy to pledge allegiance to a foreign, yet less heavy-handed power.

How's that?

I always assumed the game just doesn't bother to go to the trouble of showing specific citizens as being unhappy.

It is the overall effect of the war on the city that is important.

its nto a bug. what they do ios they calculate the number of unhappy citizens in the city, and make the last # of them unhappy. your citizens were the last ones added to the city, so they are declared unhappy, even though they're not really unhappy.

hope that makes sense.

so its mearly a programing thingy (Not quite an error, not quite intentional) to save some space in your computer to make the game run fast.
