The agreed rule for the game are as follow:
no alliances, tech trading
no sending of caravans to other civs
no restriction of wonders except great wall
tech stealing is allowed (can you allow somebody to steal from you though which is the equivalent of tech trading)
deity, 1* 1*, medium world, islands, no barbs
It appears that we are all on a big land mass.
Markus has the GL and Col.
Nappy HG
Arii Mike and LH
Makeo no wonder

Last session was a tight race between me and Nappy for some key wonders. Thanks to my ambassy and my spy network I have secured the CO and Magellan.
Nappy is the largest civ in terms of pop and # of cities. He has colonized a lot of islands near his corner of the continent and was able to WLTPD a large number of cities (it looks like a later version of growth strategy on a larger # of cities). He has added Sun Tsu and the pyrramids to his collection of wonder.
Markus is having some growth problems having too many cities to grow them in republic. He is waiting for me and nappy to discover democracy getting the benefit from his GL.
Makeo has colonized the SE part of the continent and some islands around his corner. He has grown his cities but is limited by the lack of happy wonder. Unlike markus he does not benefit from the science of the leading civs and he is starting to fall behind techwise.

ya, i have made a series of errors. Early rep, to many cities... Now only cities with even numbers of pop can celebrate up one.. I am pretty much screwed until democracy when that condition is droped and i can celebrate normally. my pop is 1.37 million ahaha
