Interesting enough Asher it is a virus trojan. Several lawsuits have been launched because of these annoyances. Some people on dialups find themselves owing huge bucks as these things dial an l.d. number then charge huge bucks per minute and you have no idea it is connected.

Well the scourge while still there, is blocked from incessantly popping up on my desktop. fortunately, I have perma-limination several core files the dialer needs. An .INI with the numbers comes to mind. My modem has been connected to AOL, and, to my knowledge. Not dialed out to a foriegn porn server.

And I do hate this crap. Down with it!

I blocked my PornDialer (downloaded the stupid thing with a game) with ZoneAlarm. Adaware, Mcafee, WindowsWasher etc. won't help you.

1) Remove file "C:\FINDFAST.EXE"
2) Remove folder "C:\LIVESHOWS"
3) Use MSCONFIG to remove C:\FINDFAST.EXE from the list of startup
programs or edit the registry
4) Restart the computer

Removing FINDFAST.EXE is the most important.

openme.exe (xww.de ?) / Fast Download / Full Downloader - Loads at startup and pops up porn ads ("Live Chat mit Cams!") after about 20 minutes, according to this post in the message boards. May also try to install a dialer. To remove, find and delete openme.exe in your Windows directory, and remove it from your Registry's "shell=" line as well.

NETBUIE.EXE (Unknown) - Source unknown. Places itself in C:\windows\system and adds a startup reference to the Registry. Continually loads porn popups (www.sexysquirter.com et al) while the machine is switched on.
