Does anyone know why for some reason when i am playing the thing producing says NP and the turns it takes to build anything says -???!??!?!?
when its like this the things dont build!?!?
WHY??

My first guess is that you have no production points left after your PW allocation and military upkeep (and possibly enemy corporate franchises).
If you've got the PW spinner on or near 100%, that would certainly explain it....

As Gregurabi said...
You have propably set your PW (Public works) to 100% of your production. Which means that all of your civilizations production is allocated to the creating of infrastructure. You can change this in both of the "civ" screens. I usually have it at 30% in order to irrigate and mine my cities at rate that can somewhat keep up with the growth of my cities.

In that case, you've probably got an extraordinarily large military upkeep. Check the F4 screen, and possibly lower your readiness status to "alert" or "peace" to cut down the upkeep costs (which will also cause your units to have lower health, except for special forces like Samurai/Knights).
If you can't reconcile the production of your cities against all the costs (crime, military upkeep, public works) then there might be some sort of bug. But it's not one that I've heard of before.

I figured it out it had to do with the military thing and too much PW, THNX!!
