	Research into commodities Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Is there a good research to determinate why/when commodities are available for export and why/when they are either offered or demanded? which ones are not related to the terrain (if is there any) how to simulate an export monopoly?

Nobody has been willing to test it. I almost set up a test to determine how demand occurs geographically and temporally - a big grid of cities, all mine except one AI city; Each turn, note the demand and supply of each city. You can see why I never actually did it.

Some commodities are triggered by tech, e.g. oil and uranium only come late in the game. Some, such as gold, are only demanded over a small geographic area for a short time. Terrain seems to have no relation to commodities.

My suspicion is that the commodities available (depending on the techs known) are given zones for supply and demand. Experience and heavy caravan trading has led me to notice that cities often demand the same high value commodities as their neighbors, while other cities demand something different.

I think city size is also a factor. For example, only small cities seem to demand cloth.
