Good idea, just in case i cant get my copy at the shops. Although the screenshots will be posted at sigames.com on the same day as the magazine. Not sure about the "2D rolling demo" and the 01/02 update though.

quote:
I have just received this statement from James Binns, the publisher of the Official Championship Manager magazine, due to news that I received around an hour ago.
"Future Publishing has had some problems with mailing out the copies of Official Championship Manager Magazine and regrettably some of the Magazines may be a few days late hitting your post boxes – they should be there in time for the weekend. We know how excited about this magazine you are, so if you really can’t wait then get yourself down the shops and buy the magazine. When the magazine comes in the post simply return it to Future Publishing and they’ll give you a refund.
Meanwhile customers outside the UK and Eire have a different problem. Due to a licensing issue we have been unable to export the covermounted CD-ROM that we had hoped to include with the issue for all territories outside UK and Eire. With this in mind we have billed any pre-order customers £1 less than originally expected."
Basically, although I'm not meant to say this (but I'm FUMING, so am going to anyway, and sod the lawyers for once), we've been a victim of our own success here. I know that it's not going to help anyone get the magazine quicker, but the demand for the magazine has shocked Future (it's going to be the 2nd biggest selling football magazine in the UK) and their distribution are having problems coping.
Some people may well get it in the morning who have pre-ordered, but it's very unlikely. But please read the statement VERY carefully before replying to this topic as most of the answers are given in there - if you want to buy one at retail tomorrow because your pre-ordered one doesn't turn up, then, when the other one does turn up, just put it back in the envelope, return it, and get your money (and postage back).
The cover CD issue has been mentioned before, but they've come up with a solution which was meant to happen in the first place, so you'll all get your magazines cheaper, and all the coverdisc content is available to download from www.sigames.com anyway.
I ask you all to please be understanding with what's happening here - none of you are going to be as disappointed that this has happened than me, and I am horse from shouting at people for the last hour to try and sort it all out, but the statement we have here is the best that we can do given the short notice that we were given by Future's distribution company.
Thanks for reading and your continued support of Sports Interactive.
Cheers

I just read that the interface is actually "skinnable" ala winamp, that relieves some of the early disappointment.

Yeah i just (finally) completed downloading it, i think ill be watching it most of the time in-game. Looks exactly like the 2D view from Ultimate Soccer Manager on the Amiga to me.
