	SMAC error using XP and P4 Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

SMAC VS XP and P4.... I have SMAC and Ailein Crossfire and love them VERY much. Bought a new computer with XP and P4 but now the game will not work. I have downloaded several patches and the game went from not trying to load with an error saying something like axs.exe fail, to game starts to load but says please insert the correcxt cd. I am 100% sure the correct cd is in there and I have reloaded the game several times. Please help me because I am having SMAC withdraws.....

Presumably you have edited the .ini file?

Edit the Alpha Centauri.ini file so that it contains the following lines at the start of the file:
[PREFERENCES]
ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1

Another trick is to load the no-cd crack, and just pass thru the warning that the processor is unsupported and that there is no cd in the drive. get it at:
