Hey, I had an idea for a new kind of unit that might be nice to have added here, let me know what you think.
Name: Combat Medic
Available after Battlefield Medicine is built.
It would have no attack or defense, would be killed if caught, and have 2 moves. It would be able to double the health regeneration of biological units in the field it was in a stack with. So normally with battlefield medicine, you get 1 health by waiting a turn, if the medic was in your stack, you'd get 2, and it would apply to every unit in the stack. And it would only apply to cavalry, infantry, etc, not the tanks, modern armor, or mech infantry. Do you guys think this is something that you'd use, or want?

Ahh. I didn't know this was discussed before. And I'm not sure if it would be too powerful, because it only affects regeneration, the opposition still has every chance to kill off the units beforehand, all it's really affecting is time between attacks from the surviving units, without having to get them back to a barracks to recover. I think it would add a bit of realism, maybe if not a combat medic, then a MASH unit, that you could lay down in neutral or even enemy territory, that would be essentially the same as a colony, with the same effect of faster healing.

We really need a COMBAT ENGINEER.
Catapults (edit them to be more powerful) should be able to be built on the scene of a siege by engineers; they could also weaken fortifications and walls if left there for a few turns.
Catapults were not built in cities and dragged around; they were built on the location where needed.

Sounds more like a Trebushey(sp?) to me...

Counts one what kind your talking about, the kind in Civ3 were, that's why they had wheels... |
Perhaps said Combat Engineer could make Trebusheys, a stronger, non-mobile catapult. Perhaps Trebusheys could have 3 bombard & catapults could have 2?

Trebuchet.
They were good at attacking the tops of buildings, but not much else.
