	D.G.#2 Election nominations Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

We have plenty of time before elections need to occur, but can fill the meantime with nominations, campaign promises and lies, and other verbiage.

We need players to fill the ministerial posts:

President
Vice President
Minister of War
Trade Advisor
Science Advisor
Minister of Imperial Expansion
City Planner
Historian

If we start elections on friday the 26th, we have 5+ days to vote (including a weekend), organize, and begin the next game!

its kind of hard to nominate people for positions if we don't even know if they are going to continue to play. For instance, former president(game 1) Shaka Nuldur hasn't voiced an opinion in quite a while, he might not be wanting to participate in this new game. maybe we need to do an updated members list for the new game...

oh btw, I'm going to participate in the new game

A good idea, but sorry, it's the reverse : I'll be away from august the 14th to september !
About the lack of volunteers, maybe sptember would be a better perod to start a demo game !

we don't have hardly anyone running. all election positions are uncontested as of this moment since some people that I nominated have not stepped forward and said that they would/could execute their office. also, no one is running for Minister of War or trade. How about running for a position yourself?

Since MdS said we should have the elections in August and complete them in time for a september start, a good idea IMO, How about if we wait just a few more hours until tonight my time, and then I'll post the elections. that will give time for certain posters (*cough* teic *cough*) to throw their hat in the ring

Yet, it might be a good idea to get the game started, even with only a few people in the cabinet. The early game is uneventful enough that it might work out okay. The only really crucial posts are the president, a science advisor, and a military advisor. The president could poll for things like city placement and such until more people return to the forum...
