I have the mod picker and hve just modifide my game with the halan mod when I yous the mod picker to play origanal I carnt get it to go back to the halan. does anyone now what I can do. the only way Ive been able to do it is to rereplace the spr file and the other text files. boring

These look superb too and incorporate the Awesome AIP changes. The world is your oyster! Have fun, and make sure to let us all know what you think. From Don Blevens (Scorpion59): All, The order should be: 1) CTP 2) CTP 1.2 Patch 3) Civfan 1.21 Hack (found in the Patches part of the Download section along with the 1.2 Patch) 4) Apolyton Pack which includes: CD's Mod & Graphics, TP's PowerSLIC 2, Harlan's Graphics Mod, Slax's Color00.txt and Zaz & Uppsala's Maps) 5) WesW's Medieval Mod (which includes Awesome AIPs) If you do not install the Medieval Mod, you need to install the AwesomeAIPs(Pack Version, not CD's or Original). I think it is not necessary, but the hack patch fixes the last annoying bugs in CTP1. Whenever I tried to load a game with a lot of troops and a lot of cities CTP1 crashed, even with Activision's so called final patch, the hack patch fixes this memory hohle. And there shall also be bugs in the scenario file structure so that you have without the final hack patch some serious problems. Therefore the hack patch is highly recommended.

Some mods will work and some will not, but in all cases you can't reload mod saved games properly without the hack (you can reload once, but then when you save and try again it won't work without lots of fiddling) so if you want to play mods without the hack you'll have to do so more or less all in one go.

Interesting to hear and that would explain some stuff. I played on a costum map so I had to use the scenario file structure. I added some new cities styles by Harlan as I got internet. Before I got internet it helped to delete userprofile.txt and another file everytime I wanted to load a game.

It's in the Apolyton directory (click directory at the top of the page).

For some reason it's in Call To Power I\Scenarios, rather than Call To Power I\Mods. Try this link:

If I install the hack patch and some of the scenario packs, will it screw up any PBEM games that I currently have going with people who haven't installed the same patches and scenarios?

It shouldn't screw anything up - I've certainly never heard of this happening. Presuming, of course, that the scenarios do not alter 'real' game files. A couple of them do do this (thanks to limitations in the scenario system), including the MedMod, which alters AI files and would cause problems if your PBEM games included AI players (and maybe also with the barbarians).

I believe all you need, IIRC, is a certified check or current bank account for a draft. I think if you pm (Private message) either Markos or Dan they will set up a withdrawal. I am not up on current rates, but I believe its something around $28.50 American dollars per quarter????

Click 'control panel' (at the top of the page) and then 'Edit Options' - the option to change your Avatar is at the bottom.

Got it, awesome. Now I just need a few of them purple trophies and everything will be set right...

I posted a reply regarding your request for a tester in either the "Can't load PBEM..." forum or the "Need urgent help..." forum. Still up for it? I downloaded all the files yesterday while taking a break from school work but I had a few minor problems getting everything going. But from what I can see it looks really good - I like the moon-walking settlers on the first turn and the militia. Didn't get further then a few turns in though as I'm busy with school and its not a whole lotta fun playing against yourself. I called up the readme text and hit print - dude its like 30 pages or so (have to read later). Anyways, this weekend I'm finally free from the chains of studying the Indo-China war so we can get a game going if you like. I've never tried an internet game other than PBEM, so if you want to go that root we can just giv'er eh? (Canadian slang...). Drop me a line here on by e-mail... Cheers,
