I'll be the External Minister of the United Nations of Europe

Reading the declaration of the Internal Minister jdd2007, General Giovanni Wine decided it was time for some action.

He counted the troops he knew were loyal to President Cinna:

"Uhmmmm.... That's more than half General" stated Colonel John Friks "but we are not sure if the paratroopers are loyal or not, I ddn't count them in, but if they are, they might serve us well"

"Good Colonel.... our spy reported that Paris is the stronghold of the traitors, we will attack them tomorrow"

"Tommorow.... but sire, we are not ready yet"

"well... that's why... The traitors will never expect such a sudden strike against their main operative base... soon the civil war will be over... and our troops will be able to rest"

"ok sire"

"send the plan to President Cinna for his approval"

"yes sire"

PLAN:
Direct Attack on Paris tomorrow, Paris is the main base of the traitors, if we manage to take it the traitors will not be coordinated anymore... and it will be easy for us to quell the remaining rebels.
The main operative force will be composed by a large number of Infantry man and mechanized infantry, few armor divisions, 10 spies already infiltrated in trators organization, few paratroopers.

The Story

Its is the year 1998. History is much different than in the real world. The Germans never attacked the Russians in the second World War. Germany won it, with the help of Russia. A cold war began between Russia and Germany. But Germany was busy recovering from the effects of war.

In 1992, Russia, the unchallenged superpower of the world, dropped nuclear bombs on all european capital cities, then invaded with thier forces. Even though Russia's army was strong and large in numbers, greed got into the Army's generals. They started thinking every general for themself. Whoever could conquer the most land under their name, would be most powerfull.
Of course, Russia's army, all slpit up was no match for all of Europe. The war ended. every nation was horrified of what could happen next. All nations began making pacts, and eventually, some joined together into one nation. Now the nuclear arms biuld up has begun again, this time with all nations being super powerfull, and all nations having nuclear capability.

Riots have erupted throughout Italy and Belgium. THe people want democracy and they want to not be ruled by foreigners. THe Italians are calling for Giovanni, the External Minister, to be president.

Meanwhile, a great orator in Spain named Ramon Morales calls for the creation of a communist state.

Trickey looked on as he saw a British building go up in flames .

" And some of the protesters have become violent. Local police have refused to enter the crowds due to fear for thier safety" said the news reporter on trickey's 78 inch t.v.

Trickey decided it was time to act.


" Lin, Lin where are you?!"

" Right here sir"

" Get me the president on the phone, the time to act is now"

"Ummm.. yesssir"

A few minutes later Lin came back with a phone and the president on the other side.

'Yes mister president, i believe that we should offer our "assistance to UNE by sending our troops to help quell the resistors. Then, as soon as we have our troops inside their border, BOOM, its all over for them." shouted trcikey, obviously excited

"But, mister advisor, with respect to your judgement, the UNE's army is superior to every nation in the world, it is virtually impossible to penetrate their defences."

" But now is the time. They surely will not be in a state of anarchy for long. Surely, the fact that thier country is fighting itself wil aide us."

"Ok, ill give you permission to contact them and ask if they need asistance"

It deeply troubles me to see your country in a state of war with itself. Our armies, enduring numerous revolutions, are well trained in riot control. Please, let us help a friend, by sending our armies to to help quell the resistors

President Cinna was lunching with family in the Frederiksborg palace in Copenhagen when he was informed of the days events. "Idiots" he shouted smashing a tea cup. "Scoundrels!" he yelled as the matching saucer hit the floor. "Has the whole world turned against me?" "No, just Europe" came a voice from the back of the room. It was his daughter, the only one in the world he felt close enough to confide in. He glanced at her then spoke "We must consolidate our power, in two weeks time we hit Paris, and hard. I will send you to Brussels where you will meet up with all UNE leaders to discuss our plans" "And as for you?" She asked. "I'm off to Washington/Ottawa to meet with NAF leaders, in hopes of getting some financial aid thrown our way." With that the lunch was concluded, private security escorted them both to personal air-jets.

External Minister: Giovanni Wine

Ok... as agreed by the President and the Internal Minister, the army will wait 2 weeks before launching its attack on Paris.
We opened an investigation over the army, so to be sure and to see how much of it is still loyal to President Cinna.

I'm currently flying to Bruxelles (from Rome) for the meeting.
I will explain better the situation there.

NEWS FLASH
Fighting has broken out on the border of Russia and Europe. Peasants in the Ukraine have taken up arms against the peasant in Europe claiming that they have been stealing thier sheep. One Russian Peasant has this to say; "They've been stealing our sheep!! We have the right to kill them!!"
another peasant also expresses her anger "This is an act of war!! I call on our government to declare war immeadiatly!!"
we will have updates on this story as they arrive.
In the background you can see truck passing the boarders just to be shot up as people jump out and race back to thier own side. It's clear that these people don't know how to aim thier weapons.. perhaps there's something more behind this.

Turmoil ensues in the government stronghold of Germany as the Internal Affairs Minister, JDD takes control of the army and calling himself a General

This is a time for action, not debate. I have comandeered the UNE army to unify the continent, but will hand power back once the revolution has ended.

The huge UNE army marhces out of Berlin west into France. The disorganized rebels have been fighting among themselves, but they put up a good fight nonetheless. Not good enough, because France is taken in a modern Blitzkrieg. Leaders are exocuted, but rebels have a choice. They are drafted into the armed forces, or killed. General JDD looks over Paris, talking to an aide.

Today I have liberated France from a mob. Tomorow, I go across the Pyrennes to Spain to destroy the Bolsheviks. Once Spain is under our control, Europe will once again be the proud nation it once was. That division by Russia hasnt crossed the border, has it? It is only there to slaughter peasants that might come from the other side. Good, but I will let the External Affairs Minister take care of the diplomacy with Moscow. So, we dont foreign aid as much as I thought we did. Excellent, excellent...

Seeing the troops coming to the border the peasants decide its best to stop shooting in the direction... Instead they decide to run up really fast, throw rocks, taunt the troops, and then run back really fast. However extremists to the south have decided to escalate the violence and decide to start using military surplus weapons along with thier rifles. There are rumors that they plan on constructing explosive devices.
