Prices in my city are totally obscene. You could buy a run down house for $4,000 back in the 70s, do some work on it, make it "historic" and it'd sell for anywhere from 4 to 5 hundred thousand. No garage.

Thanks! I thought I had a Lancer sighting, so I wanted to make sure he saw it...but some dial-ups don't deliver too well.

You might need to apply a cheese spread to make it palatable.

Tired of ads?

Fin, as we say here in the American South, "that dog don't hunt" anymore.

I saw you working yourself into a veritable frenzy over some high priced cheese in another thread--perhaps you'd best snatch the rod from your own eye before you go pointing out the mote in mine.

Now he's getting biblical. After a mangled fashion. How many times does it have to be pointed out? Cheese is a fine thing. Used wisely. Which is to say - not melting it over or inserting it into every-frigging-thing. Case, as they say, closed.

Shave some from the block, pare some slices of fennel from the bulb, season, kiss with a smidge of a nice vinaigrette, more like.

Thank you all....it's nice to know there are good thoughts being directed here!

Horse...I think Lincoln may have been referring more to the vows than the fashion!

Yeah, but I'll still talk to you. Does the spirit good to associate - at a long arm's length, anyway - with the underprivileged.

D'you get a lot of fennel over there? Stunning with some good - which is to say, real - parmesan, as described above.
