Now so far I would check #apolyton once in a while and I would find just a bot there. I say #apolyton would be the best place to go to find someone who wanted to play a multi player game. Just think, you can continually chat with people and ask them if they wanted to play. That's how mechwarrior and a lot of other games get to be played multi player. You can find a lot of people who want to play. So why no  First of course I would like a response please. Plus, you don't just stay on the chat site for a day, you stay to chat every day. This would be a very good place for off-topic people as well. In fact, the best place probably. Wanna give it a try?
