Dito Mr President... despite having the quickest of all connections and being a master in the art, I'm unable to follow those threads as a participant. Once you reply to Mr Hunt on one issue, he and CGB are already 10 points ahead. Not my cup of tea.

And then, the Brit slang, uh oh. And they're xenophobe as well, unless you're a complete wuss with some sort of mental disorder which you openly admit to in every thred you post in. I don't do that.

As for Poly... weird admins, a community of humourless tossers (50% after all), boring threads all over the OT.

There's no decent community these days.

As for the mod asylum, it was bullsh!t too, just like any minor communities. Those "minor communities" (like FFZ, CGN) usually result in new social constellations between forum users, usually those that aren't that famous and/or active on Poly (which is, so to speak, the big one, next to ACOL/CG (nowadays) maybe). Think orange, Provist and me at the early CGN, or Asher and Floyd at FFZ, although Asher tends to be pretty loud at this place as well, today... The mod asylum was ruled like that by people I didn't feel too familiar with.

It's my opinion that such 'built' communities are almost always doomed to failure, simply because all of the posters already have a common meeting place. The best communities 'evolve' slowly into the monstrosities they are.
