When can we expect the XP update? Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Somewhere around here Dan Magaha mentioned that Firaxis is working on a patch in order to deal with some of the issues that SMAC has with XP. Is there a tentative date for the completion and release of it yet?

Thanks to Apolyton, I'm finally able to get my hands on Alien Crossfire, so I'd also like to be able to play it soon without XP telling me it's "terribly sorry for crashing the program."

Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

I second the motion. I have the terrible interceptor crash problem on all of my computers, one is running XP, one 2000 and one Win98. I can fix the problem on Win'98 by disabling mswheel. However, this does not seem to be an option on 2000 or XP.

BTW, on my IBM Win 2000 machine, the interceptor crash has this message:

The instructon "0x004bf973' referenced memory at "0x053bd6b4". The memory could not be read.

I hope this helps some programmer track the problem down.
