If there were a World War III, and in this war every nation or cultural group fought every other nation (or culture, i.e. muslim or something like that) in a giant free-for-all, who do you think would rise victoriously in the end? USA? Germany? Iraq? China? Mexico? Who?

I would think the US would be among the first to fall, contrary to how most may believe, cause half the world would gang up on it because half the world seems to hate it so much....

In the end I would say the Russians of Siberia would win it for their country, by keeping themselves isolated and then coming out towards the end for the easy pickings.

Well, thanks for the kind words (considering that I am sole represenative of Siberian population here it is very nice to hear it), but I'm not so optimistic as you are. I perfectly know that my home city was in top 10 targets for American nukes for the last 50 years.

Well, i guess if it is kind words to tell someone that their nation will be the ones stuck with trying to procreate the human race on a massive nuclear/biological/chemical wasteland - well then, i complement you.

Now that I think about it, the procreation part is quite exciting, if not complementary...

EDIT: I hope your Siberian genes are fit enough to carry on the human race, i wouldnt know much about that though...

If/when that happens there will be no existing group that wins meaningfdully. A handful of survivors in each region will reorganize on entirely new grounds and start it all over again. Maybe this time the animists will be European and the monotheists will be African and the Indonesians will figure out magnetism first and kick everybody's butt.

The US, though im not sure exactly, must pump out near the most, if not the most college graduates annually. This means that there is a very high likelyhood that an educated population would survive and be able to rebuild its glorious democracy by learning from the past mistakes of the original nation(i.e. racism, over-hippocracy, too involved in foreign affairs wherer help is not wanted, etc). Maybe even this time Mexico and Canada would join in. And instead of the bald eagle being the national symbol, it would be the Phoenix, rising from the nuclear fires....
That would be cool.

Ive never played, but heard it is great. I have played the D&D equivelent, Baldurs Gate and that whole series. I did try to download Fallout, but no one was sharing it, and I figured it would be too old to find in stores. I do love those post-apocolyptical movies though . Mad Max! That was great! lol
