Thanks for the info Max, but you must be one of these people with a million gig HD. I only have 4 and Im getting tight on space.
A question: Is it a good idea to be constantly installing and uninstalling programs (games)?
Is this asking for trouble?

And should you keep half of your hardrive free? I heard this somewhere.
Or will a gig or 1/2 gig suffice?
Do you guys know anything about this?

Don - I have never heard that one should keep half of their hd free. I have 8 gigs of hd and so space is not a problem for me .

As for uninstalling and reinstalling games, this should not be a problem. Anyhow, all u r doing is reinstalling ctp after u have renamed your present game folder. Do not uninstall your present ctp because of course u will only have one folder(1 game) if u do this.

I have 2 sets of ctp and 3 of close combat III and this routine works fine.

Don- You need only about 80-100MB free for swap files, Windows calls it virtual RAM. And as for installing and reinstalling, the one problem would be file fragmentation which would slow down access time to the hard drive. Do a defrag maintenance program (you should have one in accessories/system tools) at least once a month. The program takes time to run, 20-40 min for 4GB, as it is totaly reorganizing your HD.
