	Grievance/Grudge Book: Post here Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

This is a thread to list our grievances against any rival civilization in the game who bullies us or acts in an aggressive manner that deserves future punishment. Just because we cannot defy them now, for whatever reason (because we're too weak, or we're distracted at the time, or it would simply be imprudent to refuse their demands) doesn't mean we should let them trample us underfoot. We may give in now, but we will not let them get away with such crimes!

We need this thread so that once we're powerful enough that we can afford to deliver retribution (or dispense mercy if that is the public will), we know who deserves to get whupped. hey, if irl civs can hold grudges from two millenia ago, why not us?

The current Executive Report says the Babylonians did indeed extort knowledge of a Code of Laws from us.

I think we should plan a... expedition to Abanaba Minor once we become a superpower. Former French territory would be an excellent route for this.

Yes indeed the babylonians made us give them a tech. For the record I think we should have told them to shove it where the sun don't shine, but was outvoted. Also I remember the iroquis or somebody threatening us and we said no, but i forget who.

Ahah! So we do have a civ to school... perhaps at a time when it won't take 50 turns to get to the nearest target city...

btw, why did we give in to the Babs anyways? they're not threat, are they? or are we just being cautious (spineless)?

Babylonians are sorrounded by more offensive civilizations which are currently at a great advantage. It is in our advantage to beef up the babs as much as possible., at least to the point of its neighbors. Do you wish the romans to own the lower part of our continent? Or the iroquis (sp)?

Help the underdog, so it can snap back every once in a while. Heck I'd offer advice to give it free tech whenever we are sure it wont help anyone else.

The Iroquois made a demand indeed. I think they wanted a tech, that we sold to them the very next turn. After refusing giving in, they became cautious (formerly polite)

epi, i see. gotcha. so it wasn't an extortion, we just let them think that. really, we were playing a game of geopolitics...

aggie, spiff, we'd better watch out for those iroqs, they mights be trouble!

i guess maybe it's too soon to have many grievances, especially since we're the prime aggressor in the world at this time

isuppose at some time, all must fall before us, but it's always nice to have some excuse instead of just making it up.

The ones Trip posted are stored someplace else, persumably on his own private webspace... if he lets you link to them from there, then you could use them at the top as [img]s, or if he gives you permission to host them yourself (if you've got space you're willing to use), you could link them as [img]s, but you can't use the normal smilie codes to put them in like the other ones you put above...

Hope this clears things up.
