	Off topic - Civfanatics Support Apolyton

Anyone know what happened to civfanatics web site? I am getting file not found error 404 and his host keeps popping up? I hope he is not offline for good? Thanks

No, I was just there. I've noticed that it's been rather sluggish lately though, and they were down for awhile there. They just seem to be having some server problems.

It was down for quite some time. In the end I made an ass out of myself posting the question. Oh well, I am good at making an ass out of myself. Glad he is not offline though.

Well since I am here I will mention again, Elucidus is still seeking suggestions on The Balancer mod. We will not turn down any serious comments or suggestions to include in the mod. (Changes from previous?) The mod will be on the PTW XP disk when it is released this fall.
We are busy converting the mod to work with 1.29f properly and adding new things that every one should enjoy. We need testers currently we only have 2 testers including myself. We have a forum setup for everyone to stop by and give us some input. Elucidus has done a really good job check it out, still in process of setting everything up but site is running. Nope, its a DNS error, the host moved to a new server and it usualy take around 2 days for the new numeric address for the URL to be distributed to the DNS servers spread throughout the net. If you canot get to the forums usuing the URL, try going first to the site page
www.civfanatics.com
and enter the forums there. Some favorites or bookmarks may use numeric IP address rather than URL, and thus may need replacing.

Thanks for letting me know although that link didn't work either. I understand the problem if the DNS server has been relocated should be fine in a few days.

I tried the link you provided, It is still going to that "The page cannot be displayed" page . It was off line last night and then came back online. Worked fine this morning and now it is still off line. What is going on with CFC?

It would have been nice for TF to update the www.civfanatics.net page on the current status. Even the last time when the forums were down, It said (and still says now)

Thunderfall can't get to the site either, he told me.

The host, telefrag, moved the site to a new server, and for a day or so it will be difficult to access the site for some people.

I was there at noon, now it's also down for me, hopefully it will clear up soon.

Now Thunderfall tells us . I wonder if other websights associated with Telefrag is experiancing the same problems . BTW Chris 62, have I seen that avatar before in the CFC's Forums .

Do not worry about Defensor Fidei's thread chris. He is just a civnation clone doing a preety good parody of a fanatic. It is in the humor forum now. Most of last 4 pages are "this is the funniest thread we have had" posts. There were a few posters who did not realize it was a parody. I have been LMGDAO all day.

click the link
then point at stratey (at the right end of the bar menu near the top
then click strategy gaming on the oull down that show up
then go to hosted site near the bottom of the page and click on civilization series.
