Unable to start a Multiplayer game. Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Hello everyone,

I have Civ CTP with the 1.2 patch installed. I want to play a multiplayer game over the lan I have in my home. I start civ, Select Multi player, and then select Ipx. I am able to select a profile. I then end up in the lobby.

I can do the same thing on my other PC. But the two PC's do not see each other. I have tried everything I can think of to try out this option. but I am now at witt's end. Any suggestions are welcome. I can tell you that each machine shows a ping value of zero (0) for both machines. Is this my problem. How can I assign or generate an new ping value. thanks. Marco Polo

Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

Have you got all the latest drivers for your network card? Maybe you could try re-installing the ipx protocal.
Or you could forget ipx and use tcp/ip.
