I've been working on a pack of new civs while I wait for PtW. I've tried to avoid using ones in PtW or the Apolyton ExtraCivs pack, though there is still some overlap with the latter. The civs are: Nunavut, Mali, Ethiopia, Hittites, Harappa, Java, Polynesia, Sweden, Maya, Hungary, Lithuania, Portugal, Incas, and Morocco.
I've put up the current beta of the mod and a description of each civ (including how far along key components are) at
http://www.wright.edu/~jeffrey.dixon/civ3pack
Does anyone know:
1. Why my mod crashes every once in a while and blames JGL.DLL? I can simply restart from my autosave, do the exact same thing I did before it crashed, and it usually won't crash again the second time. Strange.
2. Where I might find something that looks like:
a. a Kayak (I'm using the Coracle as a placeholder)?
b. a Slinger (using the Skirmisher right now)?
c. a guerilla (using a guererillo right now)?
d. a Polynesian voyaging canoe?
e. 17th century infantry (Swedish special unit, Infanteri)?
3. Anything else that might help me develop this mod?
I figured this is more of a Creation message than a Files message, given that most of my graphics are placeholders. Still, I'm having fun playtesting the mod so if you're dying to try life as an Inuit or Hittite give it a whirl and let me know what you think!

Actually I meant for the Swedes to be militaristic and industrious. I've corrected the error now. As for the Carolean, wasn't that more of an 18th century footsoldier? I really want the unique unit to be a combined artillery-infantry unit to represent the greatest of Gustavus's military innovations: effective use of combined arms tactics. I just wish I had a graphic (a musketman next to a cannon or something) for it and a decent name. Was there a particular name for his wedge-shaped battle formations? Heck, is there some Swedish word or phrase that means "combined arms force"?
Incidentally, I thought about making the Swedish capital Uppsala, since it was the medieval capital, but I figured Stockholm would be more recognizable. Instead, Uppsala is the second city in the list. For most of the civilizations, I tried to list the historically renowned cities first and then the rest in order of population (largest first).

Thanks for the pointers, Optimizer. I may change the name in the next iteration of the mod. Right now I'm playing around with leaderhead graphics for the next update.
