Didn't have any problems.
(Win98SE, 512MB RAM, 2GHz)
The following "events" occured between the turns:
Peace between India and Persia
War between India and Americans
Trade with Japan (gems) ended
India and Germany signed an alliance against Rome
India declared war on Rome
Birmingham, Bristol and Ipswich finished their build order, I just clicked on o.k., so you should check their build queues.
Several disorders, starvations and pollutions occured. Nothing extraordinary. 
Just one question: Why do you put your troops all over the place instead of placing them all in one city? It doesn't really matter but it must be really tedious to activate them all when you finally need 'em.
If the new save doesn't work on your computer then it might be because of insufficient resources (e.g. RAM) and you might not be able to finish the game.
