	SMAC demo game factions/smac or smax Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

hi, i do not know if this is wise. but here is a poll where we can vote on the factions and if we want smax or smac. it is not officially from the demo game (hell there isnt anything official anyway) but this can maybe give us a headup.

You could've made a multiple choice-poll... and include on the same poll whether we should play SMAC or SMAX (I say SMAC)

on the faction's I'd accept Univ/Peacek/Gaians/Morgans.

I voted for Peacekeepers for 3 reasons:

-- Ideologically compatible with Democracy

-- My favorite faction, ideology-wise

-- Well-rounded and able to succeed with a wide variety of strategies.

Well, it all depends on game tactics. I've won many games with PK's. Although I'll agree that they are perhaps among the weaker ones. But this all should just make the succession game more exciting.

I would suggest a custom faction with this dude as our faction leader. My second preference is the PKs as well.

It depends a lot on what difficulty level we select -- Peacekeepers' extra Talent is very useful on high difficulties where drones are a major problem. University, on the other hand, is one of the best factions on lower difficulties, where their extra drones are easily dealt with.

That's what I think, at least.

A suggestion:

One talent for every four citizens, free network nodes, - Eff and - Pol. Perhaps we would need another negative as it seems a quite powerful faction.

Peacekeepers is well-balanced, it can do lots; both builder and momentum. So my vote goes for them. It's as average as it gets.

I think everyone can access the save file, but for the sake of fun and surprise it isn't allowed to play further yourself.

ofcourse but that wont be a problem because for the members only the save of the president counts if someone else want to play for him/her (are there girls here anyway) fun let them but its not for the demo game

But then we would've needed a bundle of polls to decide which factions we'd have with Morgan. I think that if we would have decided to for SMAX we should've had only SMAX factions.
