Altering the UNP

it seems we are going to choose the UNP as our faction. so, are we going to change it to something Apolyton-ish, or just leave it as it is.

i think the basename can be made by the commissioner or vice-c and the ministers....like very ministery has his own base....with an name that is ok.....and captured bases could be named after an exminister or ex-C that is now gone..........(orsomething like that) i do not like the idea that the bases will be apolyton related for the rest i think its cool but can anyone make this then...city grahps arent that imported.

I don't know exactly how we come up with city names at civ3dem, but people get selected, and then they can name the next city. This includes conquered cities. You might not want to force any city names before the city is made.

In the civ3 demo game, we have a list of people and every time we create a new base, we go down that list. I named my city Tassagrad (and if I get the chance, there will be a New Tassagrad on planet)

The order is something people vote on. Order by citizen number? By ministers then citizens? random?

I feel that we should leave the faction on the whole alone. However I like the idea of naming our own cities. I propose that the Commisioner and the Vice each have an opportunity to name a city and then furute cities during that term are subject to a pre-apporved list. In that manner the Commisioner and Vice get something to leave as a legacy.

I always have the same problem when trying to create custom factions. Networknode of the Network Node solved my problems, but he didn't explain me what caused them. Therefore I do not know how we could solve this.
