	Some announcements regarding myself I would like to make Remove this text

Hello all,

As you all may have noticed, I have not been as active on the boards and with the civ3demo game in general as I usually am. Lately real life has seem to be demanding much of my energy and attention, and I have found myself with less time to spend participating here. So, it’s because of these things that I make two announcements:

1: I will not be running for any public office next term

2: I am stepping down as President of the DIA

I make this announcement in hopes that leaders with potential greatness step from the sidelines and take the reigns of our great Apolyton Civilization. It seems all too many people take it for granted that one of the major parties will make sure government positions are filled. Now, while I see possibilities in the UFC for the Presidency next term, I see none in the DIA as of yet - but this is just my observation. I strongly encourage dedicated citizens who have not yet taken an office to consider doing so, and ensure our nation continues as strong as it has.

Stepping down as President of the Democratic Industrialists of Apolyonia is a hard thing for me to do indeed, but I do it for the welfare and benefit of the party. The DIA needs strong, active leaders, something I feel is becoming increasingly difficult for me to be. I hereby nominate Spiffor to be the next President of this great party, and suggest an internal confirmation poll to be carried out.

I appoint Tassadar as President of the Alpha Centauri Demo Game DIA branch.

I will maintain a role of Vice President for both branches, but I advise these leaders to put forth rigorous effort in developing these parties.

I shall continue to serve out my term as Vice President of Apolytonia as I have pledged to do, and thank everyone for allowing me to serve our government as long as you have.

Let me say that while we have not seen eye to eye on many an occasion, your relative absense has definately been felt. I hope that the lack of official duties will also spur some more unofficial activity. I also hope that whatever has befallen you in RL is nothing serious, and that your time will begin to be freed to spend as you wish, be it here or elsewhere.

Without you, Timeline, this game just won't be nearly as controversial, I mean fun.

I too feel the pull of RL right now, so I can certainly understand your feelings. You'll be missed - that is until you make a triumphant return sometime in the hopefully near future!

I hope there is nothing serious and that you can still grace us with your presence now and then. You are one of our leaders and the game will miss you. I do want to say that Spiffor and Tassadar certainly are excellent choices and already have had a strong impact here.

Heheh....You forget that we are still here. I can always put you in the new TASSADAR EDITION of the Jungle Gazette.

Because I can no longer keep up with deadlines due to the SMAC democracy game, Unorth and I have agreed to make the Tassadar Edition. THe Tassadar Edition will be released whenever I find the time

Timeline :
Thank you for your trust towards me. I'll try to manage the DIA in those difficult times, to make sure this whole Game doesn't end up being a warmongering slaughter.
I intend to hold party elections shortly after Apolytonian elections.
I also hope you'll be back with us fairly soon, when RL will stop being to much a hassle.
