The only thing I have to say is that I hope that scenario makers dont make scenarios only fricken huge maps. If thats the case then I dont think Ill be playing them, Id like to finish the game in my liftetime... Ive been annoyed with Marla's for this reason. Seems everyone wants bigger maps, but some of us then have to deal with waiting 10 minutes between turns.

Luckily I can do my homework then!

until everyone gets super fast systems your right, the wait will be huge... however the Scenario I will be making will take this into consideration and I am hopeful that I can limit this...

I have some really innovative ideas for this - just hold tight before writing this map as unplayable!

I am using patch 1.29. I reinstalled CIV3 and the editor is not optional to use for this map. I am not sure why it works with other maps but not this one. Note: this has happen to other maps I tried to use.

	Tools for creating maps Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

There is a tool available, some ninja guy did it and I wish I had of stumbled on it earlier! For those of you wondering the way I did this map:

- opened up a blank 256 by 256 map
- took a globe where the longitude and latitude lines crossed I placed a pollution spot on the map, when done I had a grid of pollution spots.
- then starting shaping each grid one by one by referring to the globe

I do not recommend this method, find that utility it will save considerable time!

I warned everyone I hadn't tested this out as much as I would have liked. Needless to say I am disappointed with the amount of mistakes there were Just kidding

But there were some real stupid errors.. and I have since corrected them...

here is the list of fixes:

1- (resource map)there were no settler units available with the resource map, so basically you started the game with only a worker... lots of fun huh?

2- (city mod)intro text has been added

3- (resource map) Babylonians didn't have a start position

4- (both M&M) pedia txt lines were missing certain keys causing errors

5- (city mod) game balance was way off, nuetrals far too powerful - gave normal civs units at begining and also enlarged city.

Few more things that don't come to mind at the moment...
I am testing the mod out now and its working fine...

Updated download is available at the begining of this thread...

BTW I will be posting my new map soon, its substantially improved with more resources. It will be available on the upcoming PTW disk. If you can its best to wait and use that.

Is there any chance that you might make earth-like maps - ie those that show realistic tectonic movements and climates, but are completely different from Earth?

You can just grab a copy of winrar and it can open the exe just like a zip file. Also what doesn't seem to run correctly about it? What errors are you getting?

You may not be the only one getting them and maybe we can get this resolved for others as well. Thanks.

after i downloaded to the "desktop" of Win XP
i execute this but an windows "dos type" appears 1 second and nothing ...

I try to exucute since desktop, since ../Civ3/Civ3PTW/ ...

also i sugest an .exe file of winzip ...
or a .zip file

i prefer i know only winzip
