Dual Thread: Editor problem and Improvement suggestion Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

First the problem (I'm using v1.29): In the editor I can't get the zoom out to work properly. I can zoom out once, but if I try once more it locks up my computer. Can't even ctrl-alt-delete my way out. I've an AMD Athlon processor (700mhz), Win98 2nd edition (after most of the bugs fixed), and a 120GB (not that that would affect my problem, but ya' never know...).

Anyone else having a problem with the zoom options? And is there a fix/hack/update/black-market solution?

Second half of thread, unrelated to the above problem: In searching for an answer to my problem with the editor's zoom option (ok, maybe it is related...), in noticed some dicussion regarding harbors being inland away the coast. Some don't like that idea, but how's this: Two seperate harbor-type City Imporvements, the good ole Harbor and a new one Shipyard. The harbor would still provide the food bonus (Godsend for those middle-of-the-Saharra cities next to a single-tile lake), while the Shipyard...well...allows ships to be built. The harbor would have to have the "Coastal Installtion" flag, the "Veteran Sea Units" flag, and possibly the "Allows Water Trade" flag unflagged, but it should work, shouldn't it?

And as far as getting the AI to figure out how to use that setup: To Hell with the AI! It gets enough hardcoded cheats as it is!

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

The problem with the zoom may be your video card.

I think the the in land harbors were given by a wonder and realy just the efects and not the building.

I don't think it's my video card either because it's an ATI Xpert 2000. Specs.: ATI Rage 128 graphics & video accelerator, 32MB mem, 16.7 colors up to 1920x1200 res, 3D res up to 1920x1440.

Just noticed a typo in my original post: should say 700MB RAM not 700mhz. So I have plenty RAM too.
