As the AI is inept at doing the job so entrusted by pbem players, some pbem games are using human reserves instead of AI for absent players.

I'm more than happy to volunteer to play as a reserve for all players in your game. Let me know if you want to take up my offer.

Swissy why the settings you sent to me? looks like it makes for a hack and slash one big contenient game.Lung thanks for the offer I'll probably have to take you up on that offer for about a week in Jan. Ah it is good to be in battle again. I'm so glad youse guys volunteered to be sacrifices for Yahweh!

It would depend on the length of absence. I would not mind 1 or 2 turns of AI, any longerr could cause to many unwanted changes in strategy.

As far ss my suggested game setting, I make those suggestions with an eye to averaging out the extreme choices of other players. I do not like games where you are able to place cities with 4-6 goods in the area. Also, with the uniform terrain it is easy to get stuck with long stretches of desert or swamps. As far as barbarians go, I like them wandering around as they make good slaves

I used the settings Swissy gave me. I agree with him about using the AI for short absences and subs for longer. I don't know how to sub AI. How about it Swiss?

Bring up the chat screen by typing "
enter the following: /attach 1 (or 2 or 3 depending on who is getting the AI)
To stop using AI: /detach 1 (or 2 or 3)

Here are the setting I sent Kel-en. They were ment to be averaged in with the other players choices. MAX barbarians should be interesting, maybe I should build a slaver for each city.

Well at least it will make for an interesting game as I've never played a muliplayer C:CTP with goods less than 5
