	Express Lane and Cash Only Mean JUST THAT!! Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

So you walk into the grocery store do your quick shopping and get to the check out counter. You know the one with the HUGE sign that says 15 items and CASH ONLY!!

This lady in front of me puts up an almost full basket of groceries holding up the line. Several people start the heavy sighing and shifting their items. She looks around and notices that people are getting agitated. Then the crowning jewel. Can you see it coming??!??

CAN I WRITE A CHECK FOR THIS? I thought the lady behind me was going to explode. The poor checker looks back at the line that is now 7 people deep. I felt so sorry for that guy. He said yes as long as the information is correct. This does it. The lady behind me looses it. She says very loudly while the lady is writing the check. "Cash only! Can you not read the freeking sign?!?!!" To which the lady reals on me because she didn't see who said it and thought it was me. She fires back with you don't have to be so rude while pointing her finger and shaking her head and then says....."some people."

Now up to this point I've been quite but that did it. I informed her quite loudly that I am not the one who said it and further more maybe if she had studied in her remedial reading classes she could see the 5 foot sign above her head that said quite clearly that it was a cash only EXPRESS lane and that frankly she should be made to rebuggy up all her items and take them over to a line that wasn't express!!!!!

PMS and Hormones are a wonderful thing

But really how hard is it to see the sign and follow the rules?

I woulda stopped her before she unloaded. Sometimes though people get called over because the line is empty at the time.

Ahhh but you see she was a tricky one. She got there right before we all did and was already unloading when we arrived. She was in mid unload so what's a person to do?

I am relatively older then alot of people here and the woman in question was only late 30's maybe 40 with two kids in tow.
